Grievance

ORU Student Counseling Services has adopted a grievance resolution system to ensure fair consideration and timely resolution of client complaints.

The complaint may be about any policy, action, decision, or condition made or permitted by the Counseling Services Staff.

The client has the right to file a grievance in written form and to be granted an audience with the Dean of Spiritual Formation, to whom this office answers, to discuss the grievance if they so desire. If the client is not satisfied with the response, they have the right to appeal.

If any person attempts to deny the client these rights or penalize the client for filing a grievance, the client should contact a third-party arbitrator.

It is important that the grievance be filed as soon as possible, preferably within five days of the grieved action.
