We are excited to partner with you in this journey to get your student on the right path for their successful future!
Our department is instrumental in helping your student find a career path direction and in turn selecting a major. We offer self assessment testing through CareerBeam, in which your student learns about his/her personality, skills, and interests. Your student is required to take this assessment in their first year at ORU, as well as participate in a reflection group session lead by a Career Counselor discussing the major and career plans of each student. Students then have the option to schedule a follow-up consultation with one of our Career Counselors to better understand their assessment results.
In addition to this service, we offer students the opportunity to grow in their professional development through resume development, interviewing workshops, job search strategies, presentations, and tips for workforce success. It is our goal to help your student prepare for the future and all God has planned for their Path to Success. We welcome your partnership in this effort to help send them into every person's world.
In ORU Career Services, our mission is to help students excel and succeed in their lives after graduation, as well as during their academic career. We work to build a bridge between a finished education and a successful career. Thank you for your connection with Oral Roberts University; we are excited to serve your student!
If you have any questions or concerns about your student's career path or future plans and would like us to help, please have your student contact us at (918) 495-6912 or careers@oru.edu.
