Thomas Peterson

Thomas PetersonTom is a native Minnesotan, born and raised in Owatonna to a farming family. He attended the University of Wisconsin – Stout where he studied Industrial Technology.

Tom’s experience is primarily in the field of manufacturing Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning (HVAC) products with positions in manufacturing and distribution. In 1989 Tom and his wife Sue started Concepts and Designs (CAD) in their home as a Computer Aided Drafting company providing drafting services. In 1991 the business was incorporated as Concepts and Designs, Inc. (CDI) and began manufacturing. The 16-year-old company now employs 100 people and is growing.

Tom and Sue have also owned and operated an aviation service company in the past as well as a coffee importing business. They currently have a real estate holding company for industrial properties that are leased.

Tom has served on the Owatonna Business Incubator Board, Minnesota Technology, Inc. Board of Directors and is currently serving on the Engineering Board of Oral Roberts University.

Tom and his wife, Sue, have four children ages 17 to 30. They are active in their local church and community.
