Missions & GMMP Internships
GLOBAL MINISTRY AND THE MARKETPLACE (GMMP) INTERNSHIPS
The College of Theology and Ministry has created for business-minded students a major and internship to provide knowledge and experience to work cross culturally as they seek to fulfill God's will for their lives, the GMMP degree program and internship prepares students for a life of ministry regardless of where they work or live. Students will intern with international businesses that look anew at their business activities as an expression of their calling and service to God. These businesses see how God established the institution and practice of business as a means of fulfilling His creation mandate to steward and care for all of creation. He is releasing the power of business to aid in the task of fulfilling the great commission making disciples of all nations.
The missions concentration and internship educates and prepares students to fulfill Jesus' commission to reach all nations with the witness of God's saving love. It is designed for students preparing for all types of service as domestic or foreign missionaries or tentmakers in both long-term and short-term cross-cultural ministry. It is also arranged to educate students for duties as church mission directors or supervisors. The missions internship offers students a hands-on experience traveling and working during the summer months with one of our mission partners across the globe. The placement allows students to embark on a journey through a full cross-cultural experience as they invest in relationships with the local people. They will serve and work alongside churches, ministries or missionary organizations to transform the world through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Your prayers and generous support to ORU’s Global Ministry in the Marketplace and Mission interns this coming summer help fulfill Oral Roberts God given mission to “Raise up your students to hear My voice, to go where My light is dim, where My voice is heard small, and My healing power is not known, even to the uttermost bounds of the earth. Their work will exceed yours, and in this I am well pleased.”
