ORU celebrates Constitution Day with seminar

Kevin TheriotOral Roberts University is hosting a seminar in honor of Constitution Day at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22 in Zoppelt Auditorium. The History, Humanities and Government department is proud to sponsor Kevin Theriot, senior council with the Alliance Defense Fund, who will be discussing religious-civil liberties.

Kevin Theriot, an ORU alumnus, will be speaking at the seminar on the topic "Do Christians still have the rights to engage the culture?" Among many other first amendment cases, Theriot has litigated a federal controversy over a Ten Commandments monument placed at the Haskell County Courthouse. Currently, he heads the ADF Church Project, focusing on litigation pertaining to church free speech and religious autonomy matters.
