ORU enrollment increases for third straight year

Oral Roberts University announced today that the school's fall 2011 undergraduate and graduate enrollment is up by 47 students from last fall. The total enrollment for fall 2011 is 3,259 students. Retention of freshmen from the fall of 2010 is over the 80 percent mark for the second straight year.

"I am excited that we have an increase in student enrollment for the third straight year," said President Mark Rutland. "Seeing growth in the student population amidst the current economic conditions is a true testament to the value of an ORU degree."

This continued increase in enrollment can be attributed to a number of factors including the whole person scholarship program (http://questscholarship.org), $40 million in facilities and grounds improvements over the last four years and a positive campus environment.

Oral Roberts University is an interdenominational Christian liberal arts university located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Founded in 1963 by evangelist Oral Roberts, ORU serves students from 49 states and 51 countries, representing over 40 denominations. Offering 64 undergraduate majors, 13 master's programs and two doctoral degrees, plus NCAA Division I athletics, ORU is preparing its students mentally, spiritually and physically to go into every person's world.
