ORU Cheerleaders Capture 3rd Place

The ORU Golden Eagle Cheerleaders finished 3rd at the 2011 National Cheerleaders Association National Collegiate Cheer Championship competitions this week in Daytona Beach, Florida.

The third place title, earned this week, ties the team's highest placing at the NCA Championships with their 3rd place title in 2007. The co-ed cheer team, coached by April Polk, has earned several collegiate awards including, most recently, a First Place in Rally Routine at the NCA 2010 cheer camp. With this week's title the team has now placed three times at the NCA Championships.

Collegiate Cheer and Dance Championships are hosted in Dayton Beach, Florida each year by The National Cheerleading Association/National Dance Alliance (NCA/NDA). Teams from across the country compete in 11 divisions to vie for national titles.
