iPhone - Other Phones

To setup your mobile device to receive ORU email use the following information. Please note that while mobile email access is not supported by our Help Desk services group, these general instructions are offered for those users who wish to handle the technical administration themselves. Contact your service provider for device specific information.

iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch

  • Select the SETTINGS icon
  • Select Mail (Mail, Contacts, Calendars)
  • Select ADD ACCOUNT
  • Select MICROSOFT EXCHANGE
  • Enter your ORU E-mail address under E-MAIL
  • Enter int.oru.edu under DOMAIN
  • Enter your E-Mail user name under USERNAME (the first part of your email address before the @ sign)
  • Enter your E-Mail password under PASSWORD
  • In Description field, delete the work "Exchange" and type in ORU Outlook Mail (or something similar that is meaningful to you)
  • Enter orumail.oru.edu under server
  • Choose items that you want to Save or Sync to your mobile device

 


Other Mobile Phones

It is our recommendation that you have a data plan with your carrier to avoid incurring unnecessary charges.

  1. Find the area on your phone to "Add New Account".
  2. Use your ORU email address such as: helpdesk@oru.edu
  3. Type your ORU e-mail password into the PASSWORD box
  4. In Domain/User name, type username@int.oru.edu - Some phones ask for this information separately. USERNAME would be the portion of or email address before the @ and DOMAIN is int.oru.edu
  5. Server is: orumail.oru.edu
  6. In "Your Name" put your name as you want it to appear on Outgoing email from your phone.
  7. In "Account Display" name, put the name you want to call the email account on your mobile device.
  8. Account Type is: OTHER or EXCHANGE
  9. Choose items you want to Save or Sync to your mobile device
