The Student Resources Office is a multi-functioning office that strives to enhance student experience. Students are served via, the Academic Peer Advisement Program, the Disability Service Center, Proctoring Exams and administration of the National and Residual ACT test on campus.
The Academic Peer Advisement Program (APAP). The APAP is comprised of a group of student leaders that are trained in assisting other students in transitioning to ORU and its lifestyle. They also manage and run the Peer Advisors Coaching and Educating program, otherwise known as PACE. Currently the APAs are meeting once a week to allow students the opportunity to meet with peer APAs to get assistance and tutoring subjects that they may be struggling in.
The Disability Service Center, in compliance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act, assures that no qualified individual with a disability will be denied reasonable accommodations in modification of policies, practices, and procedures. The Disability Service Center offers reasonable accommodations to clients based upon their individual needs.
The Office of Student Resources will also assist you in any exams that need to be proctored from other institutions or organizations.
