The Office of Student Success consists of three distinct areas:  Student Success, Career Services, and Peer Coaching Programs

The Office of Student Success works with students to help them overcome obstacles that may have become barriers to their success at the university.  We not only partner with students to ensure their academic success, but we help to create solutions that allow students to remain on campus.  Our doors are open to all students, including at-risk students, Bridge students, and Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP review) students.  Our office also houses outreach programs to Veterans/Active Military.

The Career Services area facilitates employment opportunities and readiness for students and alumni.  We connect businesses with students through internships, Career Fairs, job listings in the Golden Hire Network (a database of employers seeking to recruit students and alumni), and on-campus recruiting. Additionally, we serve students in employment and preparing for the job market through Career Week events, the Education Fair, the Nanny Fair, classroom presentations, workshops, resume help, and mock interviews.

The Peer Coaching Program is our newest addition to the department.  It facilitates programs that utilize students helping other students to succeed.  The new Eagle Teams program featuring Peer Success Coaches and the GAP International Mentoring program operate within this area.  We also coordinate the Commuter Leadership Teams.

We are located at GC314 (next to Hava Java).  Contact us at 918.495.6912.
