summertime @ ORU ... and beyond
The campus is ALIVE with the sounds of summer school, sports camps, construction, and building updates. Roofs are being replaced on Michael Cardone Hall and Frances Cardone Hall, and Wesley Luehring Hall is being converted--temporarily--into a women's residence that will be known as Susie North.
Here in the Alumni Relations office, we are hard at work--making plans for the Legacy Parent Luncheon on Aug. 14, the Aug. 22 Wingbackers Kick-Off, the Sept. 6 Alumni & Community Luncheon, and HOMECOMING!
We hope you will join us in November for Homecoming 2017: UNITE! Arrive on the 9th so you can enjoy Eli Talks and Christmas in the Gardens--ORU's annual lighting ceremony. Shifting to the 10th and 11th...there will be plenty going on, such as luncheons, open houses, tours of the Global Learning Center, a pre-game party, and men's basketball vs. Avila. The very popular Coffee, Cocoa and Canvas is coming back, and pending completion, you might have an opportunity to run on ORU's new track at the ONEOK Sports Complex!
At the Saturday-night banquet, we will honor four alumni with the 2017 Alumnus of the Year awards:
- Bill Hull '69, Distinguished Service to God
- Larry Derstine '79, Distinguished Service to the Community
- Mary (Edwards) Banks '80, Distinguished Service to the Alma Mater
- Jeff Lippencott '87, Distinguished Service "In Every Person's World"
Registration will go live soon, so watch for it! We will be offering a 25% early-bird discount for those who register by Sept. 1.
thanks for helping us finish strong!
Phase 1 of the 50th Anniversary Comprehensive Campaign is done, and we exceeded $50
million in gifts and pledges.
Thanks for your help! Now, we are in Phase 2 and working on the $55 million stretch goal.
Please click HERE to make a gift toward this goal. It will bless today's ORU students and also provide
a strong foundation
for THE NEXT 50 YEARS!

This is the status of some of our campaign projects:
- The Global Learning Center opened in January -- debt-free.
- The ONEOK Sports Complex opens this fall -- debt-free.
- With enrollment continuing to rise, more funds are needed for Quest Whole Person Scholarships.
- Reaching the $55 million stretch goal and securing a lead gift and other contributions
will enable us
to build the new three-story apartment-style residence.
