ORU Online Learning

Earn a Degree Online in Less Than Four Years

Adult learners and non-traditional students appreciate the convenience and flexibility of ORU's Online Learning program. They also value the Christian worldview and purpose inherent in our courses--an approach that is rare on any campus, online or otherwise.

Through Online Learning, you can earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Christian Caregiving and Counseling, Church Ministries, RN to BSN completion (for students who already have an RN), Leadership Studies (a degree-completion program for those who have a degree program underway), or Liberal Studies or a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, Government, or Biblical Literature (New Testament or English Bible concentrations). Each course was developed in conjunction with ORU's fully credentialed on-campus faculty. Often, the same professors who teach the subject on ORU's campus teach courses for the online campus. Adjunct professors with a master's degree or above lead others.

The above degree programs are available entirely online. As a student, after you have completed the full degree program, you will earn your degree, receive a diploma from Oral Roberts University, and be invited to participate in a graduation ceremony on campus.

Through the program, you will take two online classes at a time, and you can enroll any time before an 7-week session begins. The program runs year-round, with 2 terms in the fall, 2 terms in the spring, and 2 terms in the summer.

In addition to the above programs, Online Learning also includes the Online Bible Institute, a certificate program under the direction of Mr. Sam Barsoum. This convenient program that does not award college credit, offers in-depth training in ministries and theology.

If you're looking for a fully online master's degree, ORU's Graduate College of Business also offers its Master of Management and Leadership MBA programs in an online format.

ORU Graduate College of Education offers a flexible and accelerated online Master's degree in School Administration with an emphasis in Christian School Administration. The Christian School Administration program is designed for the college graduate interested in serving as a principal or school administrator in an elementary, middle school or secondary setting on a Christian or private school campus. A candidate can complete up to 80% of the program through online courses. The remaining courses are completed in two four-day modules on the ORU campus during one Summer Institute. Preparation for leadership in private, Christian schools provides an in-depth study of the philosophy affecting organization and administration of schools, and extensive practical training is provided through clinical experiences. Our program format is conducive to adult learners and provides the opportunity to earn a degree while focusing on work during the school year.  Program distinctives include:
1. Reduced cost
2. Flexible format
3. Year-round admission
4. Attendance at only one Summer Institute
5. Principal Certification is an option

The Center for Israel and Middle East Studies, under the direction of Dr. John Swails, offers an immersion into the cultural and theological issues of the Middle East. In addition to online learning, the program offers opportunities for international travel.
