The ORU Advantage Program is a dual enrollment opportunity that allows high school
students to earn college credit while completing high school requirements. Beginning
as early asfreshmanyear,youcan take flexible online courses that fityourschedule, and as juniors or seniors,youmay choose to take classes on ORU’s campus in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Byparticipatingin ORU Advantage,yousave both time and tuition costs while earning transferable credits from a fully accredited

Participating in ORU Advantage creates a streamlined path into undergraduate study
at ORU. Students who successfully participate in the program receive:
Direct admission into an undergraduate residential program at ORU — no need to reapply
Automatic consideration for priority scholarships
Automatic nomination to compete for the full-tuition Quest Whole Leader Scholarship
A one-time scholarship in the amount of tuition paid for ORU Advantage dual enrollment
courses up to $500
Applying to ORU Advantage is simple and designed with high school students like you
in mind. Just complete a short application form to get started. Once approved,you’llbe ready to begin earning college credit andgainingvaluable experience at the university level.
Dual Enrollment Admissions Requirements:
Minimum 3.0 high school GPA
A high school transcript is required for on-campus Advantage students only. Transcripts
can be sent to advantage@oru.edu
Approval form filled out by your high school guidance counselor (sent via email when
you apply)
Explore College-Level Courses for High School Students
ORU Advantage courses are taught by ORU faculty and uphold the same academic standards
as traditional undergraduate classes. Students who take courses on campus learn alongside
current ORU undergraduates, experiencing authentic college classroom expectations.
Each course runs 15 weeks and includes a midterm and final exam, and all credits are
accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and designed to transfer to other institutions.
High school juniors and seniors ages 16+ can earn college credit through ORU's on-campus
Advantage dual enrollment program in Tulsa, Oklahoma, learning alongside undergraduate
students.
High school students in grades 9–12, ages 13 and older, can earn college credit through
ORU's asynchronous online Advantage dual enrollment program with flexible, self-paced
coursework.
ORU Advantage is an affordable way to earn college credit while still in high school—helping

By participating in ORU Advantage, you can complete up to a full year of college at
a significantly reduced price. Plus, students who enroll full-time in a residential
undergraduate program may receive a one-time scholarship in the amount of tuition paid for ORU Advantage dual enrollment
courses up to $500.

We’re here to answer any questions you may have about ORU Advantage, from admissions
requirements to course formats and credit transfer. Start by exploring the FAQ section

ORU's Dual Enrollment Program offers over 30 general ed courses that may count towards
a student's high school graduation requirements AND college graduation requirements
simultaneously. High School students may choose from the list of online Advantage
courses available, or they may choose from most 100-200 level courses that are offered
on campus. Online courses are available to grades 9-12, and courses on-campus are
available to grades 11 and 12.
The Advantage Program (ORU’s dual enrollment program) is for high school students
grades 9-12 who currently have a GPA of 3.0 or above. Once a student has graduated
high school, he/she is no longer eligible to participate. Online courses are available
to these students in grades 9-12, and concurrent courses on campus are available to
students in grades 11 and 12. Students in 8th grade are eligible to take 099 courses
or Gen 150: College Success Strategies.
The rates for both online and on-campus Advantage courses are:
Digital textbooks are $25 per credit hour in addition to tuition.
The best courses depend on what you want to study in college. If you know your intended
major, choose the roadmap that matches your academic interest. If you’re undecided,
start with a general roadmap to complete courses that may apply across many degree
programs.
Students may earn up to 30 college credit hours through ORU Advantage, which is approximately
one year of college coursework.
