Statement of Purpose

ORU seeks to educate students who exemplify a whole person lifestyle in that they are desirous of developing not just intellectually, but emotionally, spiritually and physically.

We are looking for well-rounded students who dream of furthering their education, where they will emerge as servant leaders who are spiritually alive, intellectually alert, physically disciplined, socially adept and professionally competent.

The Whole Person Scholarship Program has been established to recognize students who model the Whole Person concept. Scholarship recipients will demonstrate the following:

  • Christian Worldview
  • Lifestyle of Service
  • Academic Achievement
  • Leadership Ability
  • Vision to Make a Life-Changing Impact on Others
  • Healthy Lifestyle

What is a Whole Person?

Entering ORU in Fall 2012:

Participate in a Whole Person event to replace and enhance your merit scholarship with a Whole Person Scholarship.

Apply to ORU and have a school official, coach, ministry or community leader nominate you for a Whole Person Scholarship so that you can be invited to participate.

Whole Person Scholarship Event: November 3
ORU Admission and Nomination Deadline: October 17

Whole Person Scholarship Event: January 20
ORU Admission and Nomination Deadline: January 6

Whole Person Scholarship Event: March 1
ORU Admission and Nomination Deadline: February 13

Important Note: Admission and Nomination deadlines are the final day students may submit their information for the Whole Person Scholarship Event. Students invited to participate may attend only one Scholarship Event.

Freshmen Admission Check-List

 1) Apply by submitting the free online application at www.oru.edu.

2) Submit your high school transcript. Your transcript can be faxed to the ORU Admissions Office at 918.495.6222.

3) Submit your ACT or SAT test score. Have your test score mailed to ORU Admissions 7777 South Lewis Ave, Tulsa, OK 74171.

 

Transfer Admission Check-List
