What are Library workshop?
Library workshops are designed to help you be a successful
student, who also develops lifelong
information literacy skills. They cover
the essentials about research using
ORU Library resources and services.
The Library provides proficiency
workshops, course and subject related
workshops, and open workshops covering
various topics and skills. Workshops are 50-minute or 30-minute
sessions.
Can anyone attend a workshop?
Some workshops are open
to all students and others are restricted to and/or
required of students in specific
courses. For example, English 101
students must attend the LIBBI-101ENG
workshops and LIBBI-499HPE
are for HPER Sr. Paper students.
(see the list below) The Sr. Paper
ILL workshop is not required but,
it is restricted to students working
on or in preparation of Sr. Paper.
How do I sign-up for a
workshop?
You must sign-up
in VISION to attend a workshop.
When a session is full it will no
longer appear as an option in Vision.
Sign-up will be possible up to 30
minutes prior to the session. See
the step-by-step direction.
