- What problems are presented?
- How are they resolved?
- Are the problems universal or
limited to the author?
- These are some of the questions
to be considered.
2. Author, Point of View,
and Purpose
- Give details of the author’s
life that have a bearing upon
his writing.
- What are the author’s
viewpoint and purpose?
3. Summary of the Major
Points
These may be events, crises,
incidents, etc.
4. Personal Comment
- This is your response to the
work. How did it make you feel?
- In your opinion, what are
the major strengths and weaknesses
of this particular work?
