If you are seeking employment at Oral Roberts University, you must complete an application indicating the type of work or the specific position preferred, educational background, work experience, skills, and reference information. Your application represents your qualifications to hiring officials. Your answers should be complete, accurate, easy to read, and provide all the information requested.
We need a completed application form, even though you may have a resume. Resumes or other supplemental material cannot substitute for any part of the application. Resumes may be included with the application, if you desire.
Some positions require a degree and/or specific coursework. This requirement will be specified on the job posting. To apply for this type of position, please submit unofficial or official transcripts of all college and university coursework with your application. If you do not have a copy of your transcript(s) and you need to order one, please submit your application with a note that the transcripts are forthcoming.

The "Essential Functions" section, page one of the application, will typically be discussed at the interview stage. If typing (keyboarding) and/or other testing is a qualification for a position, your application will not be referred to the department until the test(s) has been successfully completed. An application will be kept on file for 60 days. When an applicant is hired they will be required to verify employment eligibility and identity as required by the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986. Employment does require an endorsement by the job candidate to observe certain codes of conduct and lifestyle. This includes but is not limited to the following: follow the "Golden Rule"; pursue relationship with Christ; attend a worship service regularly; maintain good health habits; abstain from use of: Alcohol, illegal drugs, tobacco products, use of profanity, inappropriate sexual behavior, or any criminal act. Employees will also observe an ORU dress code.
