What to Bring…
We want to welcome you to your new home for the next few years! Your dorm room will be your unique space in which you should feel comfortable and be at home. It will come furnished with bed(s)/desk(s) and will allow for closet space and drawer/storage space.
See Residence Hall Floor Plans and Photos for specific dimensions and images.
A local telephone number is assigned to each dorm room; long-distance service is available through the ORU Telephone Center – GC 4 ½ West. You may sign-up for long-distance service at any time during the registration process. Dorm rooms are wired for Basic Cable TV; they are also equipped for internet access (click here for Information Technology specifications).
We recommend bringing the following items with you to help personalize your space:
- Bed Sheets (Standard Twin)
- Comforter
- Extra Blankets
- Alarm Clock
- Shower shoes/Shower Basket
- Telephone
- Iron
- Ironing Board
- Computer/Laptop (see above link for dorm specifications)
- Power Strip/Extension Cords

- Clip-on Light/Standing Lamp (Halogen Lamps are not permitted)
