Professors encourage intellectual student development through hands-on learning and discussion.
ORU's Career Services Center helps students locate internships and holds Career Fairs twice a year so students can checkout the latest jobs in their field.
Twice a week, students attend chapel to enjoy student led worship and hear President, Dr. Mark Rutland.
Intramurals is a vital part of the ORU campus. Students enjoy playing different teams in flag football, basketball, soccer, volleyball and dodgeball. ORU also offers lots of minor sports!
Student learning is our main purpose as a university. Developing study skills is an integral part to the college experience. ORU cultivates that so your child is successful.


Student Care Packages

Provide a care package for your student at the beginning of the semester, during finals week, for birthdays, just to say "we miss you", or for any occasion.

Dispelling a Financial Aid Myth

One of the most common misconceptions about financial aid is that the only students who qualify are either exceptionally smart or exceptionally poor. This is a myth that Financial Aid administrators consistently attempt to dispel. The truth is there are many types of financial aid that are not based solely on academic performance or financial need. Recently, representatives from thirteen university departments ranging from Admissions to Student Development to Auxiliary Services participated in two professional development workshops. The first focused on sensitivity to diversity and the second on how to effectively communicate across generational lines. New Amnesty and Restoration Policy Offers Help for Students

The Oral Roberts University Board of Trustees voted unanimously to adopt a new amnesty and restoration policy for students who are struggling in areas that may violate the values and principles of Oral Roberts University and the Honor Code that is signed by all students. A process for amnesty and restoration has been in place for many years but there was not a formal policy established until now. Students who utilize this new policy may receive support and spiritual guidance through the Student Development or the Spiritual Formation departments by requesting amnesty and seeking restoration. The amnesty and restoration policy does not exempt students from the policies of the university, nor does it condone behavior that is immoral, criminal, or unethical. Read more of this article.
