Welcomed at ORU!
As a transfer student, your experience at ORU will be deeply enriched by the fact that you already have some college life under your belt! We desire to make your transition into life at ORU as smooth as possible, and recognize that you have a unique set of circumstances as a new student. Our desire is to help you in transferring classes, acclimating to a new university, finding your role in leadership and learning, and bringing your unique voice and perspective to our classroom and beyond!
We recognize that while you may be a new student at ORU, you are not new to the higher education atmosphere. At our incoming student orientation ORU ARISE, we have BETA groups designed especially for you that are led by some of our upper classmen that were themselves transfer students. They are there to help you in your journey of transitioning into the unique life at ORU. There are many opportunities to jump directly into leadership and service on the ORU campus, including our Blueprint first-year leadership group, Community Outreach, Missions and Ignite. As well, if you are living in our residence halls, you are encouraged to apply for floor leadership in the fall semester for your second year at ORU. If you are an adult learner, we are excited that you are considering ORU!
