Hands and Feet of Jesus in the World
"I have a heart for missions and for the underdeveloped world.  After graduation, I'll use the education here in the U.S. for a while and then go on to help people in poor third world countries -- bringing hope."

Students with a heart for the world's spiritually needy will find many opportunities to make a  difference at ORU.  Our international mission trips have included such opportunities as ministering to others through drama and dance in Brazil, helping low-income entrepeneurs start new businesses in Honduras, Belize and Guyana and teaching English and helping provide medical help to orphans in China.

In addition, our academic programs often provide opportunities to meet the needs of those in deprived areas.  Recently, a group of ORU senior nursing students traveled to Roca Blanco Clenic in Oaxaca, Mexico, to dispense medications, teach local families about health and distribute supplies such as ibuprofen, toothpaste, toothbrushes and multi-vitamins.

If you are interested in helping the world's neediest people, contact Outreach Ministries for opportunities where you can made a difference.
