Learn a Skill; Earn Money for School
ORU's work study program helps students afford college on our campus. We seek to place students in the right jobs, in which they can develop skills that will help later on in the workplace and in life. For instance, you might work as an assistant in your academic department, with the alumni office keeping in touch with graduates, or with the intramural office as a coordinator or referee. The options are many.
Work study funds are distributed to students as they work, through a paycheck every two weeks. Though it is possible to change jobs each semester, many students maintain the same work study jobs throughout their time at ORU. This provides the opportunity to have a work-related reference ready for resumes upon graduation.
