From the Chief: Bird’s Eye View Rhema Muncy-- Editor-in-Chief The count down has begun. There are only 58 days until the class of 2008 will walk across the stage at the Mabee Center. Before I get all sentimental and play “These were the best days of my life” songs, I would like to take a moment to reminisce about my years at ORU. As a senior, the real world waits right over Mt. Oral, the biggest speed bump on campus. This is a moment I never thought would come.

Intramurals have plans to improve for next year Alyssa Bailey- Associate Editor Flag Football. Volleyball. Basketball. Soccer. The same games year after year, with many of the same players and teams winning and losing year after year. After many such seasons without variety, there will be new sports added to the roster of ORU Intramural Sports. With all of the school-wide changes ready to be implemented now and during the 2008-2009 school year, the ORU Intramural department has decided to change its lineup to include more students, getting back to their motto: “Get out and Play!”

Prayers for Kenya - ORU Missions plan to stay on schedule despite unrest David Brown- Staff Writer Many Kenyan natives are still riddled with disbelief and shock at the current political and civil unrest plaguing the country since the Presidential Elections on Dec. 27, 2007. According to a report on CNN.com, trouble began when Mwai Kibaki of the Party of National Unity was elected for the second time as President of Kenya.

Culture Shock - A newbie to ORU expounds on her cultural adaptation Bethany Roinestad- Web Editor I’ve lived in Colorado since I was ten years old. Or I had, rather, until about two weeks ago. On Jan. 5, I embarked upon what is arguably the greatest adventure I have ever tackled. I drove nearly seven hundred and fifty miles from my dinky, little town in Colorado to big city Tulsa for college. To me, at least, it was a big deal.
