Dr. Livingston Honored at High School Alma Mater

Dr. Marcia Livingston, faculty member in the College of Education, was one of four distinguished graduates of Jamaica's Excelsior High School who were honored at the 40th Anniversary Dinner Dance and Awards Gala hosted by the Excelsior Alumni Association (USA). According to a spokesperson for the organizers, the honorees were selected because they were "exemplars of excellence, contributors, and the embodiment of the school's founder, Dr. A. Wesley Powell, who frequently displayed legendary impatience with mediocrity." Dr. Livingston received the President's Distinguished Alumnus Award "for the prestige that she has brought to her alma mater as a scholar of the highest order."
