Tulsa, OK – The Music Production Program at Oral Roberts University is excited to
host a Music Industry Workshop for Songwriters January 18-19, 2019. The event is free
and will be held in the Timko Barton Music Hall.
The workshop will feature Nashville-based copyright attorney and former recording
artist Dr. Vince Wilcox, who specializes in music copyright law. Not only will his
legal expertise provide valuable information for those attending, but his involvement
with Sony’s Provident faith-based record label will also guide singers and songwriters
on how to properly protect their songs as they share them with the world.
Friday’s session is scheduled from 7-9pm with Saturday’s session from 9am to noon.
Those interested do not need to register, but are asked to RSVP by emailing music@oru.edu or by calling 918-495-7501.
ORU’s Music Production Program equips graduates will skills in the recording studio
to produce albums and soundtracks for film and television. It also trains them in
the area of live sound, engineering audio for concert venues, churches, and music
tours.
