Tulsa, OK – The ORU Theological Society will host world-renowned scholar Dr. Craig Keener on March 29, 2018 from 4-6pm at ORU’s Global Learning Center. Dr. Keener is considered by some to be one of the world’s top five New Testament scholars.

Dr. Keener has published more than 70 academic articles and 170 popular ones. He has written 22 books, including his most recent, Spirit Hermeneutics, which depicts the Holy Spirit’s role in biblical interpretation. Five of his books have won awards in Christianity Today (an evangelical Christian periodical), three have won national awards, and his biblical background commentary has sold over half a million copies.

In addition to his knowledge on the New Testament, Dr. Keener is also an expert on the book of Acts, the historical Jesus, and the Pauline epistles, as well as ethnic and racial reconciliation.

Dr. Keener earned his B.A. at Central Bible College, his M.A., M.Div. at Assemblies of God Theological Seminary, and his Ph.D. at Duke University.

His ORU lecture will be focus on his expertise in Spirit Hermeneutics. This is a free event and is open to the public.
