Tulsa, OK – The Oral Roberts University Theatre and Music Departments are proud to present a production of the 2017 Tony Nominee for Best Revival of a Musical, SHE LOVES ME, in Howard Auditorium March 1-4, 2018.

The scent of love is strong in this 1930s European perfumery. While answering a “lonely hearts club” advertisement in a newspaper may seem unconventional, in the cases of two feuding perfumery clerks, unconventional is exactly what they need. But will their love continue to grow once the anonymity of letters is removed?

Critically acclaimed and a ten-time Tony nominee, SHE LOVES ME is a musical based on a book by Joe Masteroff as well as a play by Miklos Laszlo. The play was the basis for the James Stewart film “The Shop Around the Corner” (1940), the Judy Garland and Van Johnson musical “In the Good Old Summertime” (1949), and the Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan film “You’ve Got Mail” (1998). With lyrics written by Sheldon Harnick and music by Jerry Bock, the score features favorites such as “Vanilla Ice Cream,” “Dear Friend,” and “She Loves Me.”

The New York Times calls SHE LOVES ME A “daydream of the ordinary.”

You can catch a performance nightly on Thursday, March 1 through Sunday March 4 at 7:30pm at ORU’s Howard Auditorium. There’s also a Sunday matinee at 2pm. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students. You can purchase them with cash at the box office or online at www.oru.edu/tickets/theatre.
