Tulsa, OK – An Oral Roberts University student organization of future educators will
be meeting in CityPlex Towers tonight, February 19, to sort books donated to victims
of Hurricane Harvey in Houston, Texas.
ORU’s Teacher Candidate Leadership Association (TCLA) plans a project every year to serve the community. This year, the group of education majors will travel to Dickinson, Texas, April 5-7, to help paint a school damaged by the hurricane. They will also deliver books donated by Tulsa area schools.
Some of the TCLA members will gather on the 22nd floor of CityPlex Towers tonight at 6pm to sort and box hundreds of donated books.
If you are interested in talking to the students, please call me. Please consider also covering the students when they travel to Houston in April. We would be happy to set you up with a great story.
