Tulsa, OK – Oral Roberts University will host its annual fall career fair for the first time in ORU’s new Global Learning Center Wednesday, September 27. Business owners will not only have the opportunity to meet talented potential employees, but will also learn about the new augmented and virtual reality learning experiences available at ORU. Interested businesses will tour the GLC from 9:30 to 10:30am.

“Our students are being trained in unique ways thanks to the GLC,” said Kelan Henderson, Director of ORU Career Services. “From experiencing business transactions in an avatar setting to connecting with business leaders around the world, the students are better prepared for the modern-day work environment.”

More than 50 prospective employers will also have the opportunity to meet some of the top students in ORU’s College of Business. The college will host a meet and greet from 11:30am to noon. After serving employers lunch, the job fair will run from 12-3pm.

“We’re taking the career fair to another level in the College of Business,” said Dr. Julie Huntley, Dean of the College of Business. “We have outstanding students to showcase and we want to give employers every opportunity to meet the students we’re preparing to be the best!”

ORU’s job placement rate after graduation is higher than the national average with 90.5% of students having a job after graduation. The national average is 82%. It’s a great opportunity for businesses, non-profits, government agencies, ministries and humanitarian organizations to increase their brand awareness on campus in a one-stop environment while also helping ORU students launch into the next phase of their lives.
