Tulsa, OK – Earth Day observances may be over but Oral Roberts University is still doing its part to help all of God’s creatures. ORU is working with the City of Tulsa to build another Monarch Waystation, this time on campus. Tuesday, April 25th at 3:30 pm, ORU is partnering with the Monarch Initiative of Tulsa and Riverfield Country Day School to plant the waystation as part of the University’s sustainability efforts.

Monarch waystations serve as stopping places for monarch butterflies to receive necessary resources, such as milkweed and nectar, which help sustain their migration to and from Mexico each year.

Students, faculty and others will be planting milkweed and nectar flowers in an area bordering Fred Creek on the northeastern side of the ORU campus (close to the new tennis courts). Come and see what ORU is doing to help save the Monarchs!
