Tulsa, OK – Forget The Voice or Who’s Got Talent, it’s time for Oral Roberts University’s annual Battle of the Bands competition. It is an event you do not want to miss on February 23, 2017 at 7:00pm at ORU’s new Global Learning Center. For 26 years, talented students have competed to see who’s the best on campus.

This year’s event has a lot of fun technology including 600 light and music synchronizing wristbands plus the audience will decide the winner by texting in their votes.

“We can’t wait to dazzle the audience with some new technology,” said Jamie Heiman, Student Association Programs Coordinator. “This year’s event will be different because we are using CrowdSync LED wristbands. I think the wristbands will be a huge addition and hit for our students.”

It’s free to anyone who wants to come. The first 260 students in line will receive a free Battle of the Bands t-shirt.

The bands were selected through an audition process and each offers a different style of music. The top two placing bands will receive cash prizes of $500 for first place and $300 for second place. They will also receive professional band photo-shoots.
