National Religious Broadcasters Announces KGEB TV as 2016 Full Power TV Station of the Year

The National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) has announced KGEB TV as the 2016 Full Power TV Station of the Year. KGEB TV is a station under the purview of Oral Roberts University’s GEB America Network. The award was given as part of the 2016 NRB Media Awards, which recognize this year’s most outstanding ministries, facilities, and programs/producers in the world’s preeminent association of Christian broadcasters and communicators.

“It is an honor to be recognized as the full power station of the year,” said GEB America President Ossie Mills. “Our team has worked incredibly hard to ensure all of our stations receive the best in Christian programming, including a 24-hour mix of inspirational voices, high-value redemptive movies, series and entertainment.”

“Our goal at GEB America and KGEB America is to showcase the best programming in the Christian arena,” said GEB America General Manager Amy Calvert. “It’s our way of fulfilling the mission of our network: to help viewer’s live well, spirit, mind and body.”

To support their goal of providing high-quality Christian programming the network recently signed an agreement with Christian television’s Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) providing a six-hour block of live programming from TBN's exclusive teen and young adult network, JUCE TV. The programming is available seven days a week on all GEB stations, including KGEB TV, from 1 a.m. to 7 a.m. (Eastern).

NRB’s Annual Media Awards program is designed to encourage excellence in production, service to the community, faithfulness to the mission, commitment to the Gospel, and personal integrity. There are seven areas of focus for the 2016 awards: Church Media, Intercollegiate, International, Internet, Radio, Television, and Special Service.

All award recipients will be presented their awards during Proclaim 16, the NRB International Christian Media Convention, which will take place February 23-26, 2016, at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, TN.
