ORU Celebrates ‘The Majesty of Christmas’ with Free Concert and Children’s Carnival
Oral Roberts University (ORU) will be hosting a free Christmas celebration concert on Friday, December 4, 2015. The concert titled “The Majesty of Christmas” is open to the public and begins at 7:30 p.m. in the ORU Mabee Center.
The Christmas celebration concert will feature special performances from internationally
recognized pianist Adlan Cruz and Kelly Ford along with the ORU music department and
other special guests.
A free Christmas carnival for all ages will begin at 6:15 p.m. prior to the start
of the concert. The carnival will include holiday games, hands-on activities and free
pictures with Santa Claus.
Admission is free with the donation of a new, unwrapped toy to the Salvation Army
through the ORU Cheerleader’s “Bring Good Cheer” toy drive.
Cruz is a concert pianist, composer, philanthropist and producer. Known for his “magic
hands,” he has been blessed to perform in many nations around the globe including
Australia, Brazil, Canada, Curacao, Denmark, England, Estonia, France, Germany, Israel,
Latvia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Nigeria, Norway, Poland, Singapore, South Africa, Sweden
and the United States.
Ford’s inspiring voice has graced the ears and souls of Tulsan’s for decades. He is
a member of SEVEN and has opened for many dignitaries and celebrities including: President
George H.W. Bush, President George W. Bush, Colin Powell, Lee Iacocca, Paul Harvey
and Charlton Heston to name a few.
