ORU Promotes Global Diversity through Annual Cultural Event

Cultural eventWith students from 84 countries around the globe, Oral Roberts University provides unique opportunities for students, faculty and staff to experience new cultures, ethnicities and languages. To celebrate this unique diversity, ORU hosted the 16th Annual Cultural Event on February 27, 2015  in Zoppelt Auditorium on ORU’s campus.

The theme of the cultural event was “A Global Celebration of our Diversity: Everyone Counts.” The purpose of the event was to celebrate God’s creativity through many different perspectives.

The event featured Pastor David Rutinduka of Victory International, multiple praise teams from around the globe, original poetry readings, ORU’s Jazz Ensemble led by instructor Chris Brown as well as performances from dance and rap teams. The event also included food from around the world, family fun, door prizes and special guests.
