ORU Strongman Competition

ORU Strongman CompetitionThe ORU Aerobics Center has partnered with Living Well Ministries to host the first ever ORU Strongman Competition. This competition of strength will help promote student wellness as well as provide participants with the opportunity to reach new personal milestones while competing and socializing in an enjoyable environment.The event will be held on Saturday, October 5th in the Mabee Center parking lot. The events will consist of a Chain Drag, Barrel Toss, Truck Pull, Tug-a-War, and a medley of- Farmer’s Walk, Yoke Walk & Tire Flip.

The competition weigh-ins will begin at 9 am in the Mabee Center south lobby. Events will start at 10 am. The competition will be split into three weight divisions: Male-210 lbs & above, Male-209 lbs & below, and a female division. Judging will be based on technique and time/distance depending on event. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 competitors in each division. Each participant will receive a t-shirt and gift bag with registration. Food and drinks will be provided for each participant during breaks.
