Much Ado About Nothing

ORU Hosts Local High School Students for “Much Ado About Nothing”

Oral Roberts University hosted more than 2,500 local high school students for the first play of the 2013-2014 season. The students viewed William Shakespeare’s romantic comedy “Much Ado About Nothing!”

“The ORU Theatre Arts Department is thrilled to bring this classic Shakespearean play to life,” said ORU Chair of the Communication, Arts and Media Department Laura Holland. “Our goal is to provide these students with a relatable experience that will deepen their appreciation for classical literature.”

“Much Ado About Nothing!” follows the story of Hero and Claudio. The two are planning to be married in one week and conspire to match up their friends Benedick and Beatrice. The mischievous Don Jon plans to break up the happy couple by accusing Hero of being unfaithful. In the end, it all turns out to be "much ado about nothing."
