ORU Professors Highlighted in Tulsa Art Exhibit

By Chandler Elmore '14

artOriginal artwork created by Oral Roberts University professors Nathan Opp, Jason Howell and Kim Jiwon was on display at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center as a part of the Higher Education Faculty Art Show during the month of February.

The exhibit included various types of artwork including prints, oil paintings, mixed media works and photography.

“We are delighted to have this accomplished group of art professors display their work in our Gallery for the month of February,” said Tulsa PAC Director of Marketing Nancy Hermann. “The exhibition is especially interesting in that there are a wide variety of mediums represented.  There's Nathan Opp's (ORU) painting,  Mark Lewis' (T.U.) powdered graphite and paper collage, Bryce Brimer's  (RSU) fiberglass, wood and tar "boat," and William Derrevere's (TCC) mixed media collage. Their work makes you appreciate the breadth of talented artists we have for instructors in the Tulsa area."
