ORU Alumnus David Osborne to Perform for President Barack Obama

David OsborneNoted Steinway artist and Oral Roberts University Alumnus David Osborne will be performing some of his famous romantic and classical piano renditions for President Barack Obama in the White House on December 21, 2012.

Osborne has become widely known as the “Pianist to the Presidents” and has performed in the White House for the Reagan, Bush, Clinton and Obama administrations.

He is also a regular performer for former President and First Lady Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter at their home in Plains, Ga. Jimmy Carter was quoted as saying, “David is one of the finest pianists in the United States.”

Osborne was raised in Miami, Okla. and graduated from ORU in 1981. He went on to study at Indiana University and Pittsburg State in Kansas. Osborne was recently named “Concert Pianist of the Year, 2012” at the 22nd Annual L.A. Music Awards. He has released 27 CD’s and has sold nearly five million records. His latest recording titled “Simply Romantic” is available at Hallmark Gold Crown Stores. Osborne is a regular performer at the Bellagio, Las Vegas, Nevada.
