ORU Hosts Free Holiday Event for the Whole Family

Oral Roberts University hosted a free Christmas Celebration Concert for the entire family. The event was held on Nov. 30, 2012 at the ORU Mabee Center. Admission was free with the donation of a new, unwrapped toy. Over 1,200 toys were  collected and distributed to underprivileged children in the Tulsa area through the Salvation Army.

A completely free Children’s Christmas Carnival, which included complimentary photos with Santa, was held on the upper level concourse of the Mabee Center before the concert from 6:15 p.m. – 7:15 p.m. More than 350 children enjoyed  games, hands-on activities, Christmas treats and a visit from the North Pole.

The Christmas concert began at 7:30 p.m. and featured a variety of Christmas music. Performers included the ORU combined choirs and orchestra as well as guest performers Kelly Ford,  Jason Swanson, the Lincoln Christian School Children’s Honor Choir and Souls A'Fire.
