ORU Partners with The Salvation Army for Annual Christmas Celebration
Oral Roberts University has proudly partnered with the Salvation Army to help local children in need during the annual ORU Christmas Celebration. The event will be held Nov. 30, 2012 at the ORU Mabee Center. Admission is free with the donation of a new, unwrapped toy, which will be given to underprivileged children in the Tulsa area.
A completely free Children’s Christmas Carnival, which includes complimentary photos with Santa, will be held on the upper level concourse of the Mabee Center before the concert from 6:15 p.m. – 7:15 p.m. The concourse will be transformed into fun for the whole family with carnival games, hands-on activities, Christmas treats, a visit from the North Pole, and many more holiday surprises.
The Christmas concert is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. and will feature a variety of music from traditional Christmas Carols to Jazz and other popular holiday hits. Performers include the ORU combined choirs and orchestra as well as guest performers Kelly Ford, the Lincoln Christian School Children’s Honor Choir, Souls A'Fire and the Ladies and Gentlemen of Jazz.
This joyful celebration of Christmas is open to the public and provides a perfect way to begin the holiday season.
