ORU Recognized with a National Marketing and Recruitment Award
Oral Roberts University received the 2012 Noel-Levitz Marketing and Recruitment Excellence Award at the 2012 National Conference on Student Recruitment, Marketing and Retention held in Chicago, Ill., in July. ORU is one of only four colleges and universities to receive this designation this year.
“It was an honor for Oral Roberts University to be recognized for excellence in student recruitment. The University has put in place long-term financial aid, pricing and enrollment strategies. This blueprint for success is guiding the University to break new ground,” said Michelle Finley, ORU Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.
The award recognizes state-of-the-art programs, services and strategies that have
made an impact on campus student enrollment. ORU’s recruitment and marketing efforts
have resulted in groundbreaking statistics. Some of those achievements include applications
up 62 percent over the same time in 2008, acceptances up 64 percent, and deposits
up 37 percent. The freshmen retention rate improved from 71.6 percent in 2008, to
81.6 percent in 2010 and 80.1 percent in 2011.
