ORU LIVE Announces Worship Album Release
Anticipation has built for the release of ORU LIVE’s newest worship album since its recording night at ORU’s College Weekend in March. After months of production, ORU Worship Center is proud to announce that “Come Like a Flood” will be released Wednesday, August 15 at a special worship concert held in the ORU Christ’s Chapel.
“This project is the first album in three years from ORU and the first live album in five years,” said Jonathan Swindal, Director of ORU Worship Center. “We want original music to be a huge part of who we are, and this album is the next step forward for us.”
Admission to the release concert is free and open to the public. The event will begin at 7:00 p.m. as the peak conclusion of ORU’s new student Harbor orientation week.
“We’re going to have a mix of popular worship songs, unique arraignments of album songs and much more,” said Swindal. “While it is a release of new songs, we’ll have enough diversity for everyone to be able to participate.”
“Come Like a Flood” includes 11 songs written by ORU students and ORU Worship Center staff. CDs will be available for purchase at the event. The album will also be available for purchase through online music stores such as iTunes and AmazonMP3. ORU LIVE album is on iTunes http://bit.ly/orulivealive
ORU Worship Center also unveiled their new online location at www.oruworshipctr.com. The website features a calendar of events, a blog by Worship Center staff about team building, worship leadership, missions and more.
“The site is our central hub of information,” Daniel Tsubota, Assistant Director said. “Whether you’re a worship pastor or are just getting started in a worship team, we will have resources for you.”
ORU LIVE will be touring the new album starting in August. Churches or other venues wishing to host ORU LIVE can request the team on the booking section of the new website at www.oruworshipctr.com/booking
