ORU Soccer Clinic a Hit Among Tulsa Youth

Via ORU Media Relations (http://www.ORUAthletics.com)

ORU Soccer CampThe Oral Roberts women's soccer team hosted a free soccer clinic open to the public on Monday, April 9 at the Case Soccer Complex and over 250 kids ages 5-10 from all across the Tulsa-Metro area attended.

"The clinic was a great success." Said Head Coach Ryan Bush. "We appreciate the youth soccer players from around Tulsa for taking the time to come out and provide the opportunity for our players to connect and give back. This was a great opportunity to get our college players in front of the young players around the community."

The team plans on holding the same clinic next year, with competitive and recreational opportunities for the students as well as hands on instruction from the women's team and coaching staff.

The Golden Eagles had a successful spring on the soccer field as well, putting together a 4-0-1 exhibition record, including a win over Arkansas and a tie with Oklahoma State. The Golden Eagles also added four new members during the national signing period. Kayla Keller, Maddie Rhodes, Ashley Martin, and Mariah Morgan will all compete for the Golden Eagles in 2012.
