ORU provides all-day event geared toward transfer students

By Ally Powell ('13)

ORU Transfer GroupOral Roberts University’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions is hosting the biannual ORU Transfer Student Day on April 13. This is an all-day event that is specifically for students interested in transferring to ORU. Registration is free.

"All of the sessions during ORU Transfer Student Day are customized to address the questions transfer students have about the transferring of credits, admissions and financial aid applications, and the ORU experience," says Trinnin Olsen, assistant director of recruitment.

The event allows prospective transfer students to visit the ORU campus for a day. Visiting students will take part in campus tours, visit classes and receive individual admissions counseling. Lunch will also be provided.

The goal of ORU Transfer Student Day is for incoming students to learn specific information about admissions, financial aid, transferring credits and to discuss the various opportunities available for transferring students. Prospective transferring students will also learn about extracurricular activities such as clubs and intramurals.

"We understand that choosing a college is an important investment. Our goal through ORU Transfer Student Day is for the students to see the value in an ORU education, feel confident in the information that has been provided and excited about their potential future at ORU," says Olsen.

Students who wish to register for ORU Transfer Student Day should go to www.campusvisits.oru.edu.
