Oral Roberts hosts Louisiana Tech in its first ever Armed Forces Appreciation Night at 6:30 p.m. March 30 at J.L. Johnson Stadium.
Free admission to the game will be available for all military personnel and veterans (Military ID or VA card required). There will be fundraisers, raffles, and other donation opportunities for fans during the game. All proceeds will go to the Wounded Warrior Project and the Armed Forces Foundation.
The night will be held in memory of Ryan K. Iannelli (1984-2011), former ORU Baseball player and Marine helicopter pilot who died serving his country in Afghanistan on September 28, 2011.
Iannelli graduated from ORU in 2006 and was a member of the Golden Eagles team that advanced to face Clemson in the NCAA Super Regional. Originally from Clarksboro, N.J., Iannelli was a four-year member of the team.
