ORU KDP Chapter receives third consecutive international professional development award

Oral Roberts University Alpha Beta Lambda Chapter of the International Kappa Delta Pi Honor Society in Education has received the Professional Development Award for the third consecutive time in November.

The ORU College of Education chapter was one of three out of 582 International KDP Chapters to receive the award this year. The award was given at the 100th Anniversary Convocation of the Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society in Education in Indianapolis, Ind.

This honor is bestowed on chapters who demonstrate excellence in the planning and execution of exceptional programming. It recognizes community service, professional development, communication of education ideals, and the emphasis of membership affiliations in professional education.

The ORU College of Education chapter has 130 members 90 are graduate students, 30 are undergraduate students and 10 are College of Education faculty members. Timothy Norton is the chapter councilor, and Marcia Livingston is the chapter president.
