ORU business students minister in Peru

By Ally Powell ('13)

ORU Business Peru tripJames Russell, chair of the Oral Roberts University undergraduate College of Business, lead four ORU business students on a missions trip to Peru during fall break.

On the trip, students conducted a business seminar for the Peru citizens on topics such as ethics, marketing, finance and management. The seminar was sold out.

"God's presence touched the hearts of many people in such a way that some were healed, others received specific words for direction," says Victor Bustinza, business student.

Alongside the seminars, students had the opportunity work with media, take part in radio shows and participate in media interviews in Peru.

Students also visited various churches to pray and minister. Students also served in children's shelters and Christian schools.

"In the schools, we saw many students being challenged by the testimonies of the team members," says Bustinza. "Many of them shared with the pastors at the church in Peru that God had spoken to them in a special way and that they wanted to see God's dream in their lives."

Russell has taken students on eight foreign missions trips over the past five years. He has experienced various miracles dealing with healings and financial problems.

"The biggest miracles that we have seen occurs within the students," says Russell. "After every trip, they return home with their lives changed."
