Speakers give seniors glimpse of life after ORU
By Ally Powell ('13)
All Oral Roberts University seniors are invited to attend the "Life after ORU" events. This series of meetings will take place at 10:50 a.m. on Nov. 7, 14, 21 and 28 in the Holy Spirit Room in Christ's Chapel.
"Life after ORU" gives graduating seniors a jump-start on how to succeed when they graduate.
"'Life after ORU' is about taking the classroom knowledge and learning how to apply it to the real world," says Steven Gunn, director of student experience.
"Life after ORU" will take place on Nov. 7, 14, 21 and 28. Speakers will include Shawn Copeland, Roberta Potts and others. They will speak to students about how to obtain jobs after graduation, business etiquette, protocol and finances. Snacks and drinks will be provided at each meeting.
"Most college students forget about the reality that life will be different after college," senior Heather Egly says. "Life after ORU is a great reality check."
