ORU Studio One gets million-dollar makeover
By Ashley Powell (13)
Oral Roberts University's Multimedia Institute (MMI) just unveiled a brand-new, state-of-the-art studio. Renovations and equipment estimated at $1 million was made possible by a grant that the university received for summer renovations.
"This new studio is positioned to be one of the premier HD studios in the state," said MMI Director Don Eland. "The new equipment makes it truly state-of-the-art."
The studio includes high-definition video and audio as well as new cameras, switchboards, control boards, racks of other new equipment as well as physical changes to the studio. Students and faculty agree that there is not a better way to celebrate the program's 16th anniversary than by upgrading to a cutting-edge studio.
In addition to the newly designed studio and equipment, Tulsa's KJRH 2 Works for You has donated a $250,000 broadcast desk and set for ORU's Telenews cast.
