Free Couples' Conference at Oral Roberts University Encourages Healthy Marriages for Life

Oral Roberts University President Mark Rutland and First Lady Alison Rutland will be hosting a free couples' conference at the University on Oct. 21 and 22, 2011 to encourage healthy marriages for life.
"Marriage is a roller coaster of ups and downs. My wife and I draw from almost 45 years together to teach couples in a humorous way to stay on the ride and learn to enjoy to thrills of the journey," said Mark Rutland. "This conference is an excellent opportunity for couples from all stages of life to laugh and see each other with fresh eyes."
"Contract or Covenant?", "The Healing Process," "Covenant Communication," and "Intimacy" are just a few of the topics that will be covered during this marriage enrichment weekend, accompanied by worship through music and prayer.
Mark and Alison Rutland have led couples' conferences around the world for many years, and hundreds of marriages have been blessed, restored, and renewed through this special ministry.
This free event will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 21 and from 9 a.m. to no later than 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22.
Guests are responsible for their lodging, transportation, and meals. Pre-registration is required and must be done by Tuesday, October 11. Space for this special event is limited so participants are encouraged to register quickly. Registration is online at www.oru.edu/couplesconference.
